Blood Bonds

Victorian-styled city-scape, illuminated by a three moons. A large silver moon sits in the west, a medium-sized red moon sits in the north, and a small blue moon sits in the east. The world is always a never-ending night. Creatures of the night have arisen as the new main inhabitants. Vampires, Werewolves, Shades, Witches, etc. are everywhere and are now the norm along with the humans of the world. There are several clans around the world that have kept balance between the creatures and humans. The Drex Clan of Vampire runs the city of Noserin, the capital city to the north centered under the Red Moon. The Victus Clan of Werewolves runs the city of Rolvin, the capital city to the west under the Silver Moon. The Trevel Clan of Humans runs the city of Justic, the captial city city under the Blue Moon. There has been peace across the world for countless years. However, the scent of danger slowly rises on the horizon. Will the world be able to handle a conflict between the creatures of the night?

Other: Vincent is the "son" of the head of Clan Drex. He has been taught to run the family while his father is away. Being a Pureblood Vampire he has abilities that other vampires do not have access to. The given supernatural speed, strength, shapeshifting, and senses, he also has unlocked the ability to fly, create weapons out of blood, and communication with animals. When he isn't having to take care of problems, he spends most of his time wandering through the city speaking with the inhabitants and reading at the city library.

Other: Ru is a "Mutt" Her father was a Merman that had found his way to land where he fell in love with Ru's mother. Ru is lucky because she gets the Beautiful voice of a siren to use as she needs and she can shoot her bow blindfolded. However, she cannot spend long amounts of time out of water without a special charm her mother made for her, because of this she takes frequent "dips" in any water she can find. She was trained as an Assassin and is well equipped when it comes to hand to hand combat. She also is good ranged with a bow but that is about it. Because of the difference in the family Ru's Father returned to the ocean and was never heard from again, and Ru's Mother was killed on an assignment to Assassinate the Head of the Vampires. Because of this Ru has a fear of Vampires and wishes to avenge her mother but lacks the confidence to carry out the revenge. Plus.... she has never seen a vampire in person.

The Red Moon is high the sky as Vincent is walking outside of Noserin. He is being sent on a mission to go and speak with the daughter of the Trevel Clan to see what must be done to maintain the alliance between the two clans.
"This is such a boring a tedious task. I still to this day cannot understand why my father cannot do these things."
He decides to walk along the beach side to Justic, one of the only port cities for miles. He does look out of place due to his nobleman attire, but he doesn't care as he bends of to inspect on of the seashells on the beach.
"This world never ceases to amaze me with its beauty."

Ru sighs as she slips into the water. The cool Ocean water wrapped around her legs turning them into her tail. She touched the Scales letting out a breath before turning back to the shore where she was leaving her bag and clothes. She dipped down holding her breath out of habit as she swam down to the bottom. Ru smiled to all of the fish that swam by, one fish gave a small wave of his fin as he blew a bubble to Ru shaped like a heart. She swooshed it away blushing at his bluntness. She had never found herself the most attractive but she was always being chased around by the fish and woodland creatures.
She swam faster to the opening  in the rock that would lead her to the ocean just outside of Noserin. She popped her head up just enough for her eyes to be out of the water as she scanned the shores. "Awesome no one is here" Ru thought to herself. Ru swam to her rock and pulled her body on. She sat facing out to the water taking mental images of the way the Red moon almost seemed to be touching the water. She took one more look around to make sure no one was around. Scanning behind her on the shores she still saw no one, she then looked around in the water to make sure the fish were deep enough. After waiting for a few fish to swim along their way she began to sing softly to herself.
This small spot in the ocean all to herself Ru felt at peace she was so comfortable. This place was where her father had found her mother. After many trips here with her mother Ru just assumed one day she would meet her father here. Her eyelids began to get heavy and she drifted off to sleep.

Ru woke with a sharp pain in her arm. She must have cut it on the rock in her sleep. The Red moon was now high in the sky. Ru panicked as she looked at her arm and saw the blood from the cut oosing out. Luckily she had slept with part of her tail in the water so she could quickly jump into the water. She swam to the shore to find something to wrap her arm in. A small bunch of seaweed was there and she wrapped her arm quickly. she ran her bloodied hand in the sand before she returned to the water and swam back through the underwater tunnel to her bag.

Vincent's nose twitches slightly.
"Well, well, well. There seems to be a mix blood in the vicinity. "
He sniffs a little more, closing his eyes to concentrate.
"I smell a little bit of elf...but what is the other half? Not sure I've smelled it before...Hmm lets find out." He says with a smirk.
He walks to the ocean, following the scent, and as he reaches the water, he begins levitating just barely above the water to appear as walking on it. He follows his nose to the scent of the blood until he is hovering over a spot in the ocean.
"Odd, it leads here but I cannot see anyone. Could they possibly be diving? Hmm..."
He stares down at the water puzzled.

Ru lays out on the sand by her bag waiting for her tail to dry returning to legs. She pulls on her clothes and wrings out her hair. "How long was I asleep for?" Ru asks aloud to no one in particular. She absentmindedly runs her fingers through her hair as she things about her night. A small animal runs by and she awakes from her trance like state and stands up.
"Well I've got to eat" Ru says as she brushes the sand off of her. She bends down and scoops up a small bottle that she filled with water and begins to walk to the trail. As she is walking along the path Ru looks for anything of interest to eat. A rabbit bounces into her view and before it could twitch its nose she already was letting go of the arrow from her bow.
"SCORE!" Ru cheers "That was a clean kill. Oh man I can't wait to eat." Ru begins to look for a spot to set up camp. After an hour of searching she came to a spot that was just off the trail hidden but gave great view of the passerby's. She made a fire and cooked up her kill. Ru saved the fur of the rabbit in her bag planning to make a blanket with it and the other kills she had saved. Ru was now wide awake because of her nap earlier so she began to climb the trees silently going as high as the branches could hold her weight and looked out into the night sky.

Vincent lost the scent there at the water and shrugged, "The water must have dilluted their blood. They could be long gone by now. Oh well. "
He turned back towards the shore and gave up his little show and began floating into the air at a decent pace. Flying was always more enjoyable and faster than walking. Even though he could run faster than either but the longer it takes him to get to Justic, the better. Within a few moments he's back to the trail and is now flying a good 40 feet above the path, his hair whipping behind him.
" I truly do enjoy the breeze."
As he's flying he pulls out a small file folder out of his jacket pocket and pulls out a file on the young woman.L reading as he flies.

Ru smiles as she has a flashback of the time her mother climbed to high in the branches and fell. As her mother fell she never once screamed or made any more noise than what was happening. At the last second her Mother pulled her bow out and shot an arrow with a rope connected at a tree. The rope pulled tight and caught her mother about 5 feet from the ground. The momentum shot her back up to the branches just under where she had fallen from.
Ru wanted to be just like her Mother, so fearless and efficient, but after she died Ru ran away from the clan and became a rogue. Most of the time she kept her head down as she passed people on the road. Ru looked down to the base of the tree she was standing on. She leaned forward till she was about to fall then she gave a light push of her feet and jumped head first off. Holding in the scream she of enjoyment she had built up she waited for the right moment to let go of the arrow she had still on her back.

Vincent continued on his stroll, well flight through the path, when he heard rustling from the trees, then the next moment a women falling from a tree. His instinct kicked in and without paying much attention and within a blink of an eye he flew over and caught the women falling.
He looked down at her in his arms with his crimson eyes and asked, "Are you alright Miss?"

Ru had closed her eyes for a split second as she was falling before suddenly she hit something. Ru was disoriented because she knew she had exactly 3.6 more seconds before she needed to let the arrow go. She opened her golden eyes to meet blood red eyes. "Are you alright Miss?"

Ru blinked in confusion. "Y.... yea, Um. How are you.... you know up here?" Ru asked this stranger.

Vincent points toward his feet, "Flight. I posses the power of flight among other things, but that is besides the point. Why are you out here alone?
He looka her over and noticea the make shift bandage on her arm.
"Do you require medicinal attention?"

Ru looked at his feet as he pointed and nodded in understanding, then when he asked about her arm instinctively she touched it.
"Oh, no its all good just a little scratch from earlier today." She ignored the question of why she was alone without also telling a lie. Ru then realized it was about time for her to get some water in her system she was starting to get to dry.
"um sir dude man... could you put me on the ground?"

Vincent chuckles slightly as he nods, "My name is Vincent Drex, but you can call me Vincent. And of course Miss."
Vincent then descends back to the base of the tree.
"Where are my manners? I must introduce myself properly." He bows a formal bows as he says, "I am Vincent Drex, son to the head of the Drex Clan of Noserin. It is a pleasure to meet you Miss."

Ru smiles at him as she looks for her bag "it should be around here." she thinks to herself. She cant see her bag but just a step or so away there is a puddle she can set her hand in to hold her over.
"Thank you Vincent," Ru does her best to curtsy as she walks over to the puddle. She sits down with one hand in the water. "My name is Nabooru and it is a pleasure to meet you." Ru paused for a moment, "Tell me again where are you from?" She asked as she stood up satisfied with the intake of water she just had.

Vincent stands back up and smiles, "Absolutely Miss Nabooru. I am from the city of Noserin. The capital city under the Red Moon. My father is the head of the Drex Clan. We maintain the peace between the three main cities."
Vincent watches in curiosity as she gain vigor from the puddle.

Ru's body stiffened as he talked about his clan being a peace keeper. "Oh so your like a blood sucker?" Ru asked as she tried to keep a cool composure. She could see curiosity in Vincent's eyes but mistook it for hunger. Luckily she had her bow.... "Shit" she thought in a moment of panic. She had lost it when he caught her. She closed her eyes for a second thinking of all the knives she had hidden on her body at this moment. Leg, Hip, arm.... no arm had been taken off. Ru was about to make her move when she opened her eye and noticed a small shard of glass wrapped around a tree branch. All the tension in her body flushed away and she stood calmly in front of Vincent. Her thoughts of killing him vanished and she decided to see what his next move was. "You know what I am sorry Vincent that is rude of me to ask." She bowed her head slightly "You may call me Ru. I am a run away, and I'm afraid you caught me, literally, in the middle of my personal training." Ru lifted her left arm to the back of her head and gave an apologetic yet shy smile.

Vincent looks slightly puzzled.
" If you are asking if I'm a vampire. I must say no. I am not one of the common rabble. I am a pureblood. My family does try to keep the peace, as I can tell by your reaction when I said my clan. Us highers will do their best to find a peaceful solution whereas the lower family will be more brutal. I apologize if my family has caused you personal harm, and if there is anything I can do to reconaile what happened, please let me know." Vincent bows, "It truly is an honor to meet you Ru."

Other: Anastasia (Ana) is your run of the mill human. She is a rich girl that really doesn't know how to do anything. She is intelligent, but if she has the choice, she would rather be ignorant. She lives in this fantastically magical world and did not realize it until one night she woke up to a little group of pixies critiquing her as she slept on her 20th birthday. It was then that she decided to discover, really discover, what the world she lived in was all about.

Anastasia wonders the forest in hopes to find more magical creatures. Her nose is buried on a book titled "Pixies and Where to Find Them." She feels her feet getting tired and looks around for somewhere to sit. "Oh poo," she sighs. "I suppose this rock will have to do." She brushed off the dirt with a handkerchief, pulled out a lemon bar and nibbles on it while she reads deeper in her book.

Ru continued to smile even though the memories hurt. She put her arm down. "No its okay, its been a long time. I just thought I was going to kill all vampires but looking from your stature I don't think I will be able to do that if they are all like you." Ru started walking around looking for all of her belongings. She grabbed her back pack and bow as she looked into her bag to make sure she had everything.

Vincent gave a great smirk at her reply and spoke rather calmly, "I am of a special breed of vampire. I am what is know as a Highblood. I posses great prowess than any vampire, along with added gifts. So no not all vampires are like me."
He gracefully glided up behind her, "Where are you off to Ru?"

Ru tensed up as soon as he moved up behind her. Out of instinct she grabbed the knife on her hip. Quickly, she side stepped to the left and grabbed Vincents arm. "Look," she sighed as she let go of his arm and put away the knife. "I don't do so well with people sneaking up behind me, could you walk in my line of sight?" She asked trying not to be rude about it. At that moment she heard the sound of a branch snapping. Ru looked around listening carefully. She began to go towards the sounds of the branches snapping. "Dinner" Ru thought as she climbed up a tree. Once on a sturdy branch she pulled out her bow and began to look for the source of the sound. To her surprise there was a woman walking around with a book up to her nose. Ru let out a disappointing sigh and began to climb down the tree. Once at the bottom she walked to the woman. "Hey, don't you know its dangerous for you to be out walking? There are all sorts of monsters in the forest." Ru then remembered she had never answered Vincents Question. "Ma'am are you lost?" Ru asked the woman.

Startled, Anastasia dropped her book while sitting on the rock. "Oh, haha, well yeah. That's kind of why I'm here. Lemon bar?" She said as she pulled out a container of lemon bars.
